User Profile
Nadia Bajwa is currently a fifth year Pakistani International student in the premed and environmental studies program at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She has spent the past 10 years volunteering and interning in areas of Pakistan that are impoverished, war-torn and disaster stricken. Her primary focus has been on reproductive health care, children’s mental health and immediate disaster relief. Having worked in the development sector for so many years she has found that Pakistan is in increasing need of environmental research, with a particular emphasis on women’s health. She finds herself at the intersection of the fields of toxicology, nutrition, permaculture and sustainable development. She hopes to return to Pakistan and pursue a career in environmental research.
