You can contribute to Wikiversity Journal of Medicine in many ways, including:
- Publishing an article to the journal.
- Sign up as a peer reviewer of potential upcoming articles.
- Outreach to potential article authors, including:
- Many scholars have written theses that are not published, but could very well fit this journal.
- Also, the project can be presented to medical school students, who are often required to complete a research project as a part of their studies, providing them a potential means of getting their projects published.
- Example presentation
- Donate to Wikimedia Foundation.
- Review of existing publications. Anyone may edit articles even after publication, but such edits are monitored daily. If an edit by a reader is more substantial than a spelling or grammar edit, it may be reverted if it seems nonconstructive. On the other hand, edits may be less likely to be reverted if any conflicts of interest (or simply "none stated") are given in the edit summary or on the editor's userpage.
- Joining the editorial board.
- Share your ideas of what the journal would be like in the future as separate Wikimedia project.
- Translate journal pages into other languages. Wikiversity currently exists in the following other languages: Čeština, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, 한국어, Português, Slovenščina, Suomi, Svenska, Ελληνικά, Русский, العربية, 日本語
- Sign up to get emails related to the journal, which are sent to updates
wijoumed.org. If you want to receive these emails too, state your interest at the talk page, or contact the Editor-in-chief at haggstrom.mikael
