Poetry during the reign of Queen Victoria. The major poets were Mathew arnold, alfred lord tennyson and robert browning. they represented the three phrase of this era. mathew arnold's poetry best represented the so called victorian dilema which emerged out among the people as a result of darwin's orgin of species thus people loosing faith in god. alfred lord tennyson aws in between arnold and browning. while browning was a total optimist
