Community OS vs Commercial OS

• Commercial interests began to control open source projects^[1] as much money can be made quickly with minimal investment^[2][3] due to the energy from communities that form around them.
• Communities are allergic to commercial tendencies and often fork to maintain its openness^[4].
• Forking is an important and necessary character^[5] of Open Source.
