Primary storage
Primary storage is that memory that is directly accessible to the CPU but not part of CPU. In our Desktop Systems RAM is the primary storage. All the computations are actually performed inside the Primary Storage. The data and instructions are stored in Primary storage and brought inside CPU register as and when required.
