Palynology
Palynology is the scientific study of Pollen grains. Pollens are the male gametes of plants. Pollens are microscopic structures.The detailed structure can be easily visualized by the help of Scanning Electron Microscope. Pollens are stored in Anther. Pollens surface structures can vary widely in different plant species. Pollens has an outer layer called Exine and inner layer called intine. Exine can have different surface configurations. Some have smooth surfaces and other have rough projections. Pollens are also associated with alleries and so they are considered as Allergens. Pollens of grass causes Hay-fever.
