How Pimples Form
Pimples begin deep inside a hair follicle under the skin. Hair follicles, also what you know as pores, contain a sebaceous gland that produces an oily substance called Sebum. The problem occurs when this sebum oil gets clogged in the pore with dead skin cells. This irritates the skin, swells, and you have yourself a new-born pimple.
