Fat soluble vitamins can build up over time. The nutritional needs for humans for good health is the optimum daily intake or ODI. For physical activity the requirements may be higher. The common place daily requirement standards were necessary for the minimum to prevent nutrition deficiency.

Vitamin A can be synthesized from certain substances in plant foods: beta-carotene, and other carotenoids.[1]

E

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant for within cells.

K

Vitamin K is produced by symbiotic bacteria in the human digestive system .
