Cold fusion/Theory/Defkalion HENI Theory

Discussion

Hadjichristos is clearly a student of LENR. He's stated in Infinite Energy that he depended on lenr-canr.org to educate himself about replication and the phenomenon generally. While his NAE is different from Storms' (i.e. an augmented/evolving traditional lattice vacancy that I think is questionable), there is no doubt in my mind he was greatly influenced by his writings on the subject. Just look at the DGT ICCF-17 paper and you'll know what I'm talking about I'm sure. He also seems aware that the most likely mechanism is some kind of multi-body/cluster fusion effect; though he seems loathe to call it that in an effort to sidestep negative publicity about their technology (i.e. not to scare away investors).

Personally I think HENI is sort of an unnecessary label, and definitely not an acceptable blanket term like LENR or Cold Fusion. At least not the acronym version that adopts Nanoplasmonics; as plasmons are just the particular quasi-particle utilized for their particular system. Phonons for example are thought to be just as important in similar cluster models, and other theories like W-L that postulate plasmon driven reactions are far from confirmed. Not some universal truism applicable to the field as a whole in my opinion.

And while I think they're hoping that transmutations are the main source of their heat, all information released (including theirs) still provides no evidence for this, and in their slide shows also nucleosynthesis is sequenced prominently in their reaction chain associated with excess heat production. Seems like they are trying to cover themselves either way depending on how the chips fall when more experimental data comes in. While NiH systems may act much differently than PdD (and may in fact have higher transmutation rates correlated with heat than presently known), too many assumptions are being thrown around at the moment that contradict the known evidence (i.e. d+d/He4/Heat correlation).--JohnCMaguire (discuss • contribs) 23:02, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

Ultimately seems to be hybridizing the ideas of Storms (NAE), Mills (Virtual Neutron), Widom-Larsen (Plasmons, Gamma Shield), and Kim/Takahashi (Clustering).--JohnCMaguire (discuss • contribs) 00:29, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
