Wikijunior:Asia
Asia is the largest and most populous continent in the World, with over 4.3 billion people, and an area of 17,212,000 square miles (44,578,875 km2). The continent of Asia is east of Europe and northeast of Africa. The world's oldest civilizations are in Asia, in countries like India and China. Asia and Europe together form one big continent called Eurasia. Asia is the home to most of the human population (60% of humans live in Asia), and compromises 30% of earth's land area. Around the 1400s-1600s, many European explorers tried to find a safe, trade route to India. A successful, very well known, explorer who successfully explored Asia was Marco Polo. Asia is bordered in the east by the Pacific Ocean, in the south by the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean, to the north by the Arctic Ocean, and to the west by Europe and North Africa.

Content
If you're contributing to this Wikijunior project, the style for each page is best if you put...:
- [INTRO]
- Where is [country]?
- How many people live in [country]?
- What are the most common languages in [country]?
- What is the most common religion in [country]?
- What is the sport of [country]?
- What are some important sights? (3- 5)
As well as a good 1 - 3 images in each page. Use simple vocabulary: this project is aiming for young readers, and we don't want readers peeking in the dictionary several times to look what a word means. Don't use too simple vocab; use the right amount of vocab for children.
When mentioning other countries, please link to the page. This can be done simply using {{link|country}}. There should be a Wikipedia link in the intro, such as "Iran"
, as well as use bold font. Make sure to not copy straight from your sources, and put it in your own words.
Make sure to add Template:Header to the top of the page, and the navigation template, Template:WikijuniorAsia, under the last heading of the page, and Template:Talk header to the talk page.
To quickly start a page, copy and paste the following to the page:
{{Header}} '''[[w:{{subst:SUBPAGENAME}}|{{subst:SUBPAGENAME}}]]''' is a country... ==Where is {{subst:SUBPAGENAME}}?== ==How many people live in {{subst:SUBPAGENAME}}?== ==What are the most common languages in {{subst:SUBPAGENAME}}?== ==What is the most common religion in {{subst:SUBPAGENAME}}?== ==What is the sport of {{subst:SUBPAGENAME}}?== ==What are some important sites?== {{WikijuniorAsia}}
