Cookbook:Catfish

Filipino fried Catfish
Fried catfish served with rice, corn, and bread in New Orleans, Louisiana

Catfish are part of the ray-finned fish group. The reason why this fish is named catfish is because of the barbels, which seem to look like whiskers of a cat. Catfish, as a seafood, is hunted and eaten in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

In Central Europe, Catfish is known for a holiday feast.
