Orange Regional Medical Center
History
Orange Regional Medical Center is located in the heart of the Hudson Valley and is the main hospital situated between Albany and New York City. The program was established in 2016 and is set to graduate its first class this coming summer. The program accommodates over 72,000 emergency visits each year which includes 55 treatment bays, a helipad, and three-bay ambulance garage. Our nine bed Pediatric Emergency Department provides care in a child-friendly environment. We are currently provisional Level II Trauma Center, with a dedicated CT and x-ray suite in the department. We are also a Heart (STEMI) Center and a Stroke Center.
Orange Regional Medical Center has established a solid foundation for medical education through our continued partnership with our Sponsoring Institution, NYCOMEC. As of September 14, 2017, the Emergency Residency Program is an ACGME Initial Accredited program with access to a Simulation Lab, Cadaver Lab (at TouroCOM) and dedicated Ultrasound didactics and rotations.
