First Deputy Commissioner
William M. Feehan (1929 -
September 11, 2001) was a highly respected and admired member of the
FDNY[?] when he was killed in the line of duty at the age of 72 in the collapse of the
World Trade Center in the
September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack.
After over 42 years of service to the Department, he had planned to retire within 3 months.
