Ralph Garcia (? -
August 31,
1999) was a
US prison guard, at a
New Mexico prison owned by the
Wackenhut corporation, who was murdered during a prison
riot in
Santa Rosa[?]. His death led to increased criticism of Wackenhut. Garcia was a former
rancher, who had become
impoverished following a
drought. Wackenhut paid him
$7.95 per hour.
