Mother and Son was a long-running Australian
television sitcom produced by the
Australian Broadcasting Corporation from
1982 until
1994. The sitcom starred
Ruth Cracknell[?] and
Gary Macdonald[?]. Ruth Cracknell played the role of the aging Maggie Beare, while Gary Macdonald was her long-suffering care-giver son, Arthur. The storylines addressed the problems of aging and caregiving for somebody with
Alzheimers disease with a gentle humour that made the show a popular favourite with the audience.
