Lake Travis is the largest of seven artificial
lakes known as the Highland Lakes near
Austin in the Central
Texas area. The lake runs between
Mansfield Dam[?], on the edge of Austin, and
Starcke Dam[?], near
Marble Falls, along the
Colorado River.
