The
Community Arts Music Association (CAMA) of
Santa Barbara is the oldest community arts organization in Santa Barbara and, arguably, the oldest such organization in the
United States. It was founded in
1919 by
William Andrews Clark, Jr., who also founded the
Los Angeles Philharmonic in the same year with a mission to present the world's finest music to local audiences. The organization continues its work today under the direction of CAMA President
Judith Hopkinson[?] and Executive Director
Mark Trueblood[?].
