Selecting [Authorization] from the menu, you can enter a clear text password that can be used on all of your updates during the time you specified. You can enter the password to be used, and for how long it will be remembered by the application. Clicking Register, the password you entered will be stored on your computer as an encrypted cookie. The same screen will be displayed after clicking Register.
You can also provide password per update by adding a field of type password and entering your clear-text password to the input field provided.
It's currently not possible to provide PGPKEY based authorization.
You can add new entries to the database by clicking on [Add] from the menu. You will be presented with a list of available object types. Selecting the object type and clicking on Add Object, a form consisting of a template for the object will be displayed. Using this template and the other buttons and entries in this page, you can fill in the fields, add new fields, delete existing fields, change the order of fields and force new submission, preventing accidental overwrite of existing objects.
There are a few buttons and icons that can be used. Please see Legend section of this help page for explanations of these icons.
You can edit or delete existing entries in the database by clicking on [Edit] from the menu. The first screen will ask for the object to be edited. You have to enter one of the search key attributes of the object here. For example, if you're going to edit you person object, you should either enter the nic handle or the name/surname combination.
If there are more than one match for your search, you will be presented a list of objects to choose from. For example, if you'd like to update an inetnum object and enter the IP number inside the range, you may be prompted with both the inetnum object and the corresponding route object. Selecting the right object to edit, a template form with the existing fields prefilled will be displayed.
Using this template and the other buttons and entries in this page, you can fill in the fields, add new fields, delete existing fields, change the order of fields.
You can also delete the given object using the text box and the button at the bottom of the form. Entering a commentary reason for deleting the object to the text box and clicking Delete Object, you can delete the current entry on the screen from the database.
Please also see Legend section of this help page for explanations of the icons on the page.
By clicking Switch View button in the edit screen, you can switch from normal mode to plain mode. In plain mode, the whole object will be in one box, so that you can edit the object more freely. It also gives the freedom of submitting updates signed by PGP, submitting more than one object in one update, and the flexibility of e-mail updates.
Select Source menu lets you change the database to update. When you click on it, a form will be displayed, showing the current settings and a list of available update targets. If you change the target and click on Select Update Source, current settings will be changed and redisplayed on the same form.
